we are having a great time on our trip, despite the fact that the camera is NOT working. (Therefore these are all taken with my phone and not the best quality.)

as you can see from this pic, we are eating healthy too.

We got off the compound today for a playdate with Sharon and her two cuties. The boy flirted with little Phoebe and tried to impress her with his freestyle swimming.

I think it worked.

The boys and I enjoyed a trip to the park tonight, even though it was crazy hot. The boy brought along his best friends, Ribbit and Lizard. As you can see in this picture, they had a great time swinging.

So did the baby, although he is getting too squirmy for the swing these days and wants to get out and explore. (translation: he wants to crawl in that bug infested mulch. Mommy says no dice!)

So he settled for riding the whale.
My baby is growing up! Ack!

weekend wrap up

We had a fantastic weekend at Uncle Jimmy's wedding! The boys were great and partied until the wee hours. (is it normal when your baby goes to bed at midnight and your toddler finally crashes at 1am?)

Many thanks to Steven and Con for letting us crash at their very fun lake house. The boy is a budding pinball wizard and I now feel the need to stock my house with various pinball machines!

It's yoga time!

Mommy is finally getting back into yoga but the days of practicing in a dark and quiet yoga studio are long gone. Instead, she now has a yoga partner who is definitely not serene, but as cute as cute can be.

He also happens to be pretty darn good at yoga.
Go figure on that one. He's built like a linebacker, but can bust out a mighty good down dog. (especially for a 2 year old!)

at least someone is getting some sleep around this place! The baby had his first ear infection this week, so this was a familiar scene all night long.

Poor little baby, but he is hopefully on the mend and ready to party this weekend!

Dear readers,

My parents give me this pacifier because it is my plug. Without it, I scoop up anything I find and shove it directly in my mouth. I think it is fun to freak mommy out and hear her shriek "What are you eating now?!"

I am not really hungry, I just think cisco hair tastes neat! and let me tell you, there is a lot of that around this joint!

So, if you see me with this in my mouth, don't give my mommy a hard time about it. It helps keep me from choking on stuff.

I really thought I had my hands full when the Boy was a wee one, but the Baby has taught me that I really had it easy.

This little boy has to be watched at ALL TIMES! He will attempt to eat, pull, yank, and climb everything in his path. If you happen to be in his path--beware--he will make it very clear that you are disturbing his mission.

Seems so cute and snuggly here, yes?

One of their first games to play together is cars. Or as the Boy calls it "Crash". That is exactly what they do.....hurl cars back and forth across the floor and crash them into each other. The baby thinks it is hysterical and surprisingly does not try to eat the cars. They have bruised knees and we have scratched floors, but it is all worth it.

in other news, the baby likes to climb things like a tree monkey and then laugh.
and yes, that is mommy's club foot in the picture preventing him from cracking his skull.

We went to Bethany's graduation party where I bawled like a baby for the Bethany life-montage. How can she be 18 already? She is going off to college! She is leaving the nest!

**DON'T LET MY BABIES LEAVE THEIR NEST!!!!!***well, except for an hour or two. That would be nice. I could workout, take a shower, etc.

Anyway, we had a fun time at the party and the Boy is apparently gifted when it comes to playing Guitar Hero. Who knew?

So who wants to send us a Wii.....along with a Wii Fit?

As for the baby, well...he is working on his chinese impression.
