Things I do with all that free time I have.....

We have zero furniture for baby X but we DO have a decorated room!!!!!
I think it looks pretty amazing don't you?

What is that? You had NO idea that I could paint so well?

C'mon, you can't really believe that I did this??!!! No way!! We found an amazing artist on Craigslist who will do custom murals based on your specs. You can check out her work here: http://www.jennyburgei.com/

Next up is Austin's room! :)

craft time!

Since it is hot enough outside to melt people, I am trapped inside and looking for ways to entertain the boy. Therefore, it is time for PLAYDOH! After several lessons on why we don't EAT playdoh ....
(oh please God, don't let my kid be THAT one that eats everything gross and scares off all the other kids at school! Please let him be normal and play with normal things and have normal friends! But please let him remember to always come home to his mommy because she is the best person in the world. Thank you!!)

**ooops, lost my train of thought there!**

Anway, it's been a pretty big hit and has filled at least 15 minutes of trapped inside time!!!!
Here are some pics of the little guy creating his own masterpiece.

**Note the highchair. One of the last few "containment devices" I have left for Austin and he really doesn't enjoy it. What am I going to do when Baby X arrives???!!!!! HELP!!!!!!!!

awesome weekend

The weather was GORGEOUS here (for a change) and we had a great weekend outside and at the pool.

Daddy Mike enjoyed playing on the backyard climber, although I'm not sure who was having more fun here? I didn't get any pictures of Daddy Mike climbing through the tunnel hole, but it was quite amusing.
Unfortunately this crawling around in the grass caused a tick to chomp on to Austin's adorable baby skin and sent all of us in a freak-attack, but everything turned out just fine.
(Note: you shouldn't call an ambulance for a tick bite)

*****

After a weekend of playing, we got dressed up to head out. (lol!)
Here is Austin in his going out ensemble. He really digs his man-purse...what do you think?

I hope you had a great weekend as well. Drop me a note to tell me about it!

Sibling rivalry

Well, it isn't with baby X just yet-----but Austin seems to be mighty suspicious of Cisco these days.
Do you like his angry look?

He likes to tell him to "GO!GO!GOOOOOO!!!" (although I can't figure out where he possibly could have heard that line?)

He does not like it when Cisco is in front of him and gets to a specific room before he does. I have no idea why this bothers him, but it does. Complete toddler meltdown.

And now when I try to entice him back inside by telling him Cisco is lonely, he simply looks at me and says "no".
Too bad Cisco, your loneliness doesn't rank anywhere on the Austin-meter.
So, I think we may be in for a wild ride when Baby X arrives!!!

********
We took a stroll around the compound today and ended up at Grandma and Grandpa's house. I'm not sure they were as happy to see us as Austin was to see them, but they smiled nicely for the camera!!!! :)

blogvertise

Here is something new I came across www.blogvertise.com

They pay you to mention specific website products or services on your blog.

How cool is that?!!

college fund

ok people. The ads are here for a reason but apparently they are not being used. Don't you want to help Austin and baby x get to college?

FAQs about clicking on the ads:

1. It will cost you money.

ANSWER: wrong!!!!! It's free. Costs you zippo, zilch, nada. Just click and enjoy

2. I have to buy something.

ANSWER: nope again. Just click the ad. This will take you to another site, where you can click on things there. (if you want) There is no obligation to buy anything or to give up any personal info. Just like if I put the link http://www.washingtonpost.com/ on the site. You might go there and read the whole paper. Doesn't cost you a penny right??
See how easy it is?!!!

3. I will get a virus or spyware on my computer

ANSWER: WRONG!!!! All you are doing is clicking a link. Do not download anything from those sites, just visit them.

4. It takes too long.

ANSWER: puleeeze. It takes you 2 seconds to click on something. Your life isn't that busy! :)

So please click people. JUST CLICK IT!!!!!!
I told Austin about this and here he is...making a wish that you click everywhere you can EVERYDAY!!
Don't let him down, oK? !

(bonus oppportunity: sign up for cashcrate with my link. It's a legit way to make some extra cash: http://www.cashcrate.com/257739 THANKS!)

Hot, hot and very hot!!

The past few days have been sweltering and even though this big woman would like to stay indoors, the boy requires that we be outside a lot.
The upside of that is he has a new word in his vocabulary. Austin can now say "hot"!
(Ok, it sounds more like "ott, ott, ott!!!!" but I'll take what I can get!

He is a thoughtful little guy though and is willing to share his ice cold water when you might need it.

We're having a lot of fun though. Maybe some of you will come visit us sometime???!!!

my little swimmy

He really does love the pool, although it takes him a few minutes to warm up to the idea.

Not so much for mommy though. She has no desire to squeeze her fat self into a bathing suit and take the plunge. So she just sits on the side of the pool and gets splashed a lot. Yippee.

Meet baby X!!

Well, he isn't here yet...but we took a sneak peek at him today! We went to a place that offers 4D ultrasounds because I am just too impatient to wait! (www.infantsee4d.com)

It was really amazing and I highly recommend it to all pregos out there!
We got a ton of cool pictures and a DVD as well.
Of course, this brings the reality of another baby just a wee bit closer and now I'm really freaking out!!

Weekend wrap up

It was a very, very busy weekend filled with parties and picnics. Austin lapped up all the attention (and chips!), especially yesterday. We met up with our NY cousins and got a chance to see how old we have all gotten. (sigh)

Here is an adorable picture of Austin in the car on the way to the party. Can you tell he is party animal and can't wait to get there??

It was a great day to be outside though and we all had a lot of fun. Austin hung out with his cousin (second, once removed...whatever!) Ryan.
Yes, Ryan is older than Austin.
Yes, I realize that Austin is much bigger than he is.
Again, no need to point that out to me ALL the time!!!! :)
and it was Ryan who showed Austin the joys of a juice box. Mommy cringed as Austin slurped them down and ran back for more each time.
No juice for you!!!

Thankfully it is Monday now and we can rest! Ha!

Happy Birthday Daddy Mike!!!!!!!!

Daddy Mike was pretty surprised at his surprise party today! We had a lot of fun celebrating his birthday and ate way too much food. We were very happy to see everyone, especially those who travelled a few hours for us.
Austin had a great time playing with everyone, especially his favorite cousin Scott!

Mommy is glad the whole event is past her because she isn't a big fan of planning domestic events! No more parties for her. Next big event is the arrival of Baby X! (as you can see from the picture, this is right around the corner. ACK!)

who is this for?

I scored a great deal on a train table and you should have heard the shouts of glee and excitement coming from the playroom!!!!
Only they were from Daddy Mike....not Austin!!!!!!

Yes, someone really enjoyed setting it up and taking inventory and figuring it all out so that Austin could enjoy it properly.

Which of course he did! It was tough to pull him away from the table tonight as there were many tracks to be built and trains to be "choo-choo'd".
I'm sure Daddy Mike will test them all out for him, just in case.

cool kid

Our great friend Val is in town this week, so we hit the stores today to do some shopping. Austin was a trooper, despite a long day, and decided to entertain us with his cool look. He loves to wear my sunglasses which are now permanently crooked on my face as well. I guess it's time to head to Target for a new pair! (yay, Target!!)

Austin did well in the stroller but thankfully he was strapped in. I wasn't able to get a picture of him bent all the way over trying to get out face first, but it was very fun to watch! (the belts on this stroller work great!)

Although after looking at this picture, I don't think he is going to fit in it much longer. (sigh)

it's never too early....

See, even Austin loves working out!!! Here are some pictures of him trying out the equipment and trying to decide what to do first.

Absolutely adorable, yes?
